Slam Land is an up-and-coming party game from Bread Machine Games. Much like the odd name of the studio, the game mirrors that same quirkiness in its gameplay showcase. A basketball game where you slam your friends into a molten pit? Yeah, something like that.
Bread Machine Games is the indie development studio behind Slam Land. The studio, based in upstate New York, previously developed Deathstate, a roguelike action game that launched on PlayStation 4 and PC via Steam.
Slam Land will launch on the Nintendo Switch on August 7, 2018. The game will feature traditional basketball style games like “H.O.R.S.E.” But, the overall theme for the game can be found in its quirky aesthetic. It will feature such modes as “Trash” where you slam piles of dunkable garbage. Another, Peanut Mode, will have you running around in a frantic hot potato style game hanging on to a, you guessed it, peanut.
