Warframe, the cooperative third-person shooter from Digital Extremes, is officially coming to Switch. The Warframe Switch port will be handled by the masterminds over at Panic Button, who are responsible for the shockingly well-oiled ports of taxing games like DOOM and Wolfenstein: The New Order. The Warframe Switch port was announced earlier today, and while we do not know its release date, we do have a snazzy new trailer (see above) to go with the reveal.
Warframe initially released back in 2013 to decent reception with the PC version earning a 71 out of 100 on Metacritic. It is currently free-to-play on Xbox One, PS4, and PC. The game has been evolving since then, and now Switch owners will be able to partake in the ever-growing title. By the time that the Warframe Switch port does release, it will stand alongside Fortnite and (presumably) Paladins in the Switch’s growing free-to-play library.
So, are you excited? Do you think that Panic Button can work porting its magic once again, or do you anticipate the Warframe Switch port falling flat? As always, let us know in the comments.
