Fans of the 1998 Rare classic Banjo-Kazooie can now own their own resin statue of the famed protagonists. Released by First 4 Figures, and created by Artist Leo B. Dolon, both the exclusive and regular editions are now available for pre-order. Though they are beautiful, they will cost you $429.99 a piece. There are a couple of differences between the exclusive edition of the statue and the regular version, most notably their bases.
The regular version has a yellow jigsaw piece for a base, while the exclusive version is gold chrome plated. It also comes with a separate gold chrome plated jigsaw piece and musical note. Including their bases, the statues stand at 20 inches tall, have a width of 18 inches, and weigh a little over five pounds each.
Pre-ordering either statue also gets you a DLC code for Sea of Thieves, unlocking a bear and bird figurehead in-game item. However, there are some things you must be aware of before pre-ordering and purchasing either statue. When you make your purchase, you must make a non-refundable deposit of $43, also you must choose a payment plan. Each plan has a different pay schedule and amount, and if you want to cancel your purchase you will be charged a $20 fee.
Also on July 10, you must go back to the company website to validate your order to confirm your statue’s Day One status. The pre-order period for the statues ends on August 7. This is the first installment in First 4 Figures’ Banjo-Kazooie line.
Odds are we will see Gruntilda, Mumbo Jumbo, and other statues as the month’s progress.
Both statues are expected to be released in 2019. Are you going to pre-order one of the statues? Comment below!
