Remember Nintendogs? That super-casual pet-care simulator Nintendo released on the original DS? It went on to sell a whopping 23.96 million copies worldwide. It was definitely quite popular for a time, but it’s not really talked about much anymore. Well, until now at least.
A certain celebrity happened to tweet about how they want to see it make a comeback on mobile devices and that tweet got a surprising amount of attention.
Paris Hilton of all people recently uploaded the boxart of Nintendogs to Twitter with the caption: ‘We need to get [Nintendogs] as an app on the App Store!’ That tweet has now been liked nearly 85,000 times.

It looks like quite a number of people agree with Miss Hilton. This tweet probably has gotten more attention than any ‘Change.org’ petition would have. With that said, would you like to see the IP make a return on mobile?
Nintendogs actually seems like a really good fit for a mobile game. Especially considering the fact that mobile is where the majority of those casual gamers from the DS/Wii days have jumped to, then perhaps this would get a lot of attention just for nostalgia sake. Just make sure to get Paris Hilton to promote it, Nintendo!
Having been introduced to video games at the age of 3 via a Nintendo 64, A.K has grown up in the culture. A fan of simulators and racers, with a soft spot for Nintendo! But, he has a great respect for the entire video game world and enjoys watching it all expand as a whole.
