Capcom is celebrating the Blue Bomber’s 30th Anniversary with huge announcements. The first was the reveal of Mega Man 11 which is coming to Nintendo Switch in late 2018. The other big announcement is that Switch owners are going to finally get their hands on the Legacy Collections.
Capcom released Mega Man Legacy Collection 1 in 2015. Mega Man Legacy Collection 1 collected Mega Man 1 through Mega Man 6. While it did get a release on 3DS, the collection never released on the Wii U. In 2017, Capcom released Mega Man Legacy Collection 2 which collected Mega Man 7, 8, 9, and 10. Collection 2 was released in August of 2017, well after the Switch’s release, however never found it’s way to Switch, Wii U, or 3DS.
Now we know that both games will be getting a release on the Nintendo Switch in 2018. No solid date was given. It was also confirmed that both games will have Amiibo support. We know there is Amiibo support in the first game on 3DS, which lets you unlock additional content however no further details were given about Amiibo support right now.
Are you excited that Mega Man Legacy Collection 1 and 2 are finally coming to Switch? Do you already own them? Would you guys them again to play on the go? Let us know in the comments.
