When third party ports are across Switch, PS4, and Xbox One, there’s bound to be some adjustments for Nintendo’s version, as the console is weaker than its competition. A consequence of this is lower frame rate, and it looks like Sonic Forces fits the narrative.
While the game runs at a smooth 60fps on Xbox One and PS4, it will run at 30 FPS on Switch.
As someone who played Sonic Forces at E3, I can vouch for the fact that it’s noticeable when compared to its PS4 counterpart. Visually it’s mostly the same, but the Switch can’t handle Sonic Forces nearly as well as the other consoles.
Does this affect which console you’ll be picking up Sonic Forces on? Comment below, let us know.
The game launches later this year.
