Despite being announced earlier today for PS3, 360 and \”next generation\” platforms, there remains hope that it could come to Wii U.

Following several Tweets about the game from Pete Hines, the Vice-President of Bethesda Softworks, fellow journalist Brian Crecente enquired about the game\’s chances of releasing on the Wii U…

@crecenteb @polygon we (intentionally) aren\’t being specific on what platforms \”next-gen\” covers. Stay tuned.

So it appears it may not be entirely out of the question. Officially speaking this is the same message from Activision considering the inevitable release of Call of Duty: Ghosts on Wii U. To date only one Wolfenstein game has graced a Nintendo platform which was Wolfenstein 3D for the SNES back in 1992.

Watch this space, if the game get\’s announced eventually, we will cover it!
