Project-X-Zone-37

Namco Bandai’s upcoming Project X Zone, already in the hands of many a gamer with the recent release of its first demo, will be getting a second demo that’s hitting North America sometime soon.

Of course, it has already been confirmed that Europe will get the demo on June 27th in the European 3DS eShop. As for North Americans, they’ll have to wait a bit longer for their date so they can then wait a bit longer for the demo.

The first Project X Demo was released in Europe on May 23rd and in North America June 4th. Namco Bandai at the very least has confirmed that the second demo will hit stateside, but the actual date itself remains to be seen.

Nintendo Is Behind Limited Use Demos, Will Not Explain Why

Project-X-Zone_1

We’re all fans of demos, especially free ones that are easy to download to our favorite platforms. When Nintendo started releasing these trials for games like Rayman Legends and, more recently, Project X Zone, gamers were justifiably overjoyed. That is, until they found that these demos weren’t all they were cracked up to be. These demo experiences have become limited ones, as they can only be played a certain amount of times.

Over at Game Informer, the issue was pushed. Why exactly would Nintendo limit the amount of times a demo can be played by the user?

Unfortunately, they could not get a straight answer from Nintendo. However, the questioning of an unnamed publisher did yield some information. Apparently, it is up to Nintendo and not the publishers to limit the demos.

As it seems like this practice will continue with future demos, the best option is to be reasonable with how many times you indulge in a particular demo. Crazy, we know, but necessary.

Last week we had Pandora’s Tower for North America, this week Project X Zone for the west, shock after shock, I can’t take much more…

CERGY-PONTOISE, FRANCE – 21 January 2013 – NAMCO BANDAI Games Europe S.A.S. today announced that Project X Zone (working title) will be coming to challenge gamers in both Europe and Australasia in the summer of 2013, exclusively for Nintendo 3DS™. This epic crossover title brings together the fiercest and most popular legacy characters from NAMCO BANDAI, SEGA, and Capcom’s most beloved franchises to create a Strategy-RPG experience that can only be described as the ultimate cross-over title.

Developed by Monolith Soft and Banpresto, Project X Zone features over 50 playable characters from 29 historic game franchises by three of Japan’s most respected video game companies. In Project X Zone players will use a team of two characters known as a Pair Unit to explore the world within the game. An additional character known as a Solo Unit can be combined with the Pair Unit to assist in battles with Solo Attacks as well as augment the attacks available for players to execute. Throughout the game, epic battles are waiting to erupt at a moment’s notice. Players will have to master an array of screen-busting moves including Solo Attacks, Support Attacks, Cross Hits, and Finishing Moves in order to defeat a multitude of foes.
