Zelda & Pokemon Monopoly Sets Coming to Retailers Soon

A few months ago at Toy Fair International 2014, USAopoly announced they would be releasing both a Zelda & Pokemon Monopoly board games later in the year.  Based on the Gamestop website, the release dates will be August 30, 2014 and September 15, 2014 for the Pokemon and Zelda set respectively. Pricing for the Zelda version is $39.99 while the Pokemon themed board game is $44.99.

The Gamestop website has already released details of their exclusive items here which includes a custom square box packaging, an ocarina of time game piece, a Hyrule map lithograph and additional power cards.  No details have been posted yet regarding the Pokemon Monopoly game set aside from the game only covering the Kanto region.

This won’t be the first time we see a Nintendo themed Monopoly set. Back in 2006, USAopoly released a Nintendo Monopoly set which included various Nintendo franchises in the game, including the Zelda franchise.  These two new sets however will be the first to focus solely on one Nintendo IP.  Will you be picking either of these sets up for yourself? What other Nintendo franchises would you like to see adapted into a Monopoly set?
