In a recent interview, the COO of Twitch Kevin Lin said that he would like to see the Twitch app on both the 3DS and Vita. Unfortunately, due to the 3DS\’ limited CPU, the app would be for viewing only, as streaming would be impossible. Nevertheless, it is nice to see Twitch thinking about Nintendo platforms as a viable place to release their app, even if Reggie does not see Twitch streaming as \”fun\”.

\”But Twitch’s horizons don’t end with PC and home console,\” began Lin. \”The company has recently moved into mobile and is looking at the Vita and 3DS as well. “On mobile we just released our first in-game integration, with Asphalt 8 from Gameloft. For now, we’re going to be doing that game by game. Handhelds. That’s something we’d love to do. On handhelds it’s more of a server/CPU concern, but we definitely want to do it. We want to build viewing apps, that’s much less CPU intensive than broadcasting.”
