If there is one negative aspect of the Wii U eShop, it would be that it doesn\’t have quite the variety of Virtual Console systems as WiiWare did. With rumors of a Virtual Console subscription service popping up frequently, it would seem like Nintendo would have to beef up the library of systems along with games to justify a service like this.

Nintendo Enthusiast reader Connor The Dreamer sent in a tip to us that may be indicative of TurboGrafx-16 games coming to North America Wii U systems. While some TurboGrafx-16 games are available in Japan, none are currently available in North America. Connor discovered some interesting clues that show that Turbografx-16 games may finally be coming Stateside.

When you view the PC Engine communities from an English Wii U or on the Wii U web browser, they show up in their English names instead of Japanese. Usually only first party Nintendo games that are coming to the eShop in the US do this. A Japanese Wii U or web browser will show the game in their apporpriate Japanese title.

The most interesting example of this is a game called Chew Man Fu, which is a puzzle game. When you view on an English Wii U or web browser, the game shows up as Chew Man Fu. If viewed from a Japanese system? It shows up with the Japanese name of the game, which is BE Ball.

Connor also sent us in some screenshots to show case this. Although nothing is confirmed, and it could just be a BIG coincidence, it seems like there could be much more to this story.
