Last week I was able to finish a final list of games announced for the Nintendo Switch, but many see the huge list of games with skepticism. It doesn’t matter how many games are for the Switch, as one doubt remained: “How many of them are new indies? I bet they are all ports from released games in other consoles”.

While it is true that there are several ports coming to the console, there are plenty of games that have never seen a console release either. It is obvious that we are removing PC from the equation, as most indie titles are released first on PC and then on consoles.

Here’s the list of games that are making their console debut on the Switch!

We reached a total of 75 games from the ~100 games which means… most indie games coming to the Nintendo Switch are new! One less excuse for not buying the console. And considering the several Switch exclusives from Nintendo and upcoming titles like Sonic Mania, Troll and I  or Project Octopath Traveler, ports are actually the minority of games!

After around a decade playing on Sony consoles, I decided to move to the Nintendo side.

I can play most types of games if they don’t have heavy online elements, and I usually have a preference for platformers, puzzle and strategy games.

I also play casually on my PC, but I prefer to play in consoles.
