The Nintendo 2DS is a strange system to begin with, but offers younger and budget gamers a cheaper alternative to the Nintendo 3DS, minus the 3D effect of course. Many retailers commonly do a $99.99 sale for the system, which is a great price point to pick one up at. Target seems to be going a step further with this offer, and is offering a somewhat strange sale starting August 17th.

Target is offering a 2DS at the standard retail price of $129.99, but offers a second 2DS system at 40% off, which is essentially $79. What is the point of this sale? Considering that it really equals two systems for $200, it\’s not much different than the $99.99 sale that we commonly see for the system.

It is also worth noting that when you buy the Wii U Deluxe with New Super Mario Bros. U, you will also get The Lego Movie game for free with purchase, which is probably the better deal of the two.
