Usually, when retailers make listings for games they include a placeholder date for when they predict the game will come out. This date is usually at the end of the month, or at the end of the quarter. That is why Target’s listing for Super Smash Bros for the 3DS is so interesting, because the release date is listed as August 29th, not the end of a month. What is even more interesting is that the date of August 29th is very plausible, as it is in the summer release window, and it is a Friday, the day when Nintendo has been releasing most of its games as of late.
Take this news with a grain of salt, of course, as Nintendo has not yet released any details to the actual release date of the game; however, Nintendo is sure to announce more details about the 3DS version of Smash Bros at E3 in just a few weeks.
