Last year, Nintendo Remix franchise began, with the release of NES remix on the Wii U eShop. Our very own Shawn Long praised the game, ultimately giving the game a 9/10. This week, NES Remix: Volume Two releases on the Wii U eShop, bringing several new NES games to the Wii U in the form of WarioWare-like mini-games.

Many fans have been wondering whether an SNES Remix is in the works at Nintendo as well. In a recent interview, NES Remix director Koichi Hayashida insisted that the possibility of SNES Remix depended solely on whether there was demand for it.

Koichi Hayashida
“If we get a big enough cry for that, with a lot of people saying, ‘Hey, we’d love to see more of these perhaps for the SNES, Game Boy or Game Boy Advance,’ then it would be something we can take a look at.”
