Monday 27th February will mark Pokemon Day, celebrating the day which the first Pokemon games launched in Japan back in 1996.

Fast forward to present day, and Pokemon is still as popular as ever, with last year seeing a surge in interest following the release of Pokemon Go.

To celebrate Pokemon Day, trainers in Pokemon Go will be able to catch a special Pikachu wearing a festive party hat. Similar to that of the Santa hat Pikachu wore in the Christmas event last year. This means that any Pikachu you catch with the hat, will keep it forever.

After around a decade playing on Sony consoles, I decided to move to the Nintendo side.

I can play most types of games if they don’t have heavy online elements, and I usually have a preference for platformers, puzzle and strategy games.

I also play casually on my PC, but I prefer to play in consoles.
