A further Tweet has revealed that the next update is already in the planning stages and is set to be much bigger in scope. This next update will work across all platforms and address common issues and requests the team have received thus far.

Shovel Knight was released as a Nintendo console exclusive on June 26th 2014 on the North American Wii U & 3DS eShop. The debut game from Yacht Club Games, a team made up of ex-Wayforward employees, has to date received unanimous acclaim. A European release is planned for sometime later in 2014.
