Last night at their second developer roundtable, Nintendo revealed a brand new IP for the Nintendo 3DS called Codename: S.T.E.A.M. During the round table it was revealed that the developer behind the game was Advance Wars and Fire Emblem second-party developer Intelligent Systems. At the end of the event there was a Q&A with the game\’s producer Hitoshi Yamagami where he was asked about another project in development we\’ve not heard about at this year\’s Electronics Entertainment Expo.

Yamagami was asked if Codename: S.T.E.A.M has affected the release schedule for Shin Megami Tensei X Fire Emblem, a joint project between Atlus and Intelligent Systems, which was announced for the Wii U over a year ago but has yet to be seen. He revealed that the game is in fact \”right on schedule\” but went on to explain he can\’t answer in more detail in fear of losing his job.

As soon as any more information is released about the game, we\’ll have it here on Nintendo Enthusiast.
