Shin Megami Tensei IV was released in Japan last week and sold 188,562 copies in its first week. According to Japanese sales tracker Media Create, the game sold through 80.14% of its shipment in its first week. The last Shin Megami Tensai game, Shin Megami Tensei: Nocturne, which released in 2003, sold 185,000 copies in its first-week, and sold through 75.7% of its shipment.

It will be interesting to see how this brand grows in the future, but for now, we can look forward to Shin Megami Tensi x Fire Emblem which is releasing for the Wii U at some unknown date (Possibly more at E3).
