In the latest issue of Famitsu, the magazine shared details about several rumors currently making the rounds in Japan. There were several rumors mentioned, but the most exciting of which is the possibility of a new entry in the Legend of Zelda series being officially announced at this year’s E3 which takes place in June.

Nintendo will officially announce a new Legend of Zelda game for the Wii U at this year’s E3

– Nintendo did not comment

Famitsu’s Plausibility: 40%

Famitsu reached out to Nintendo for comment, who as you guessed it, did not comment which made the magazine rate the rumour with a plausibility rating of just 40%. Nintendo revealed in a Nintendo Direct this week that Super Smash Bros for Wii U would be released “this winter” so it would be reasonable to expect that this would be there one blockbuster title for the console this year.

It has previously been teased that a reveal is imminent, but so far nothing has been shown of the game outside of a tech demo at the original unveiling, If the Wii U Legend of Zelda is announced at this years E3 it is highly unlikely to launch this year.
