A very interesting new rumor has been leaked through our friend Mr. TiLMEN. Though this source has been right on the dot many times before with his leaks, still take what he says with a huge grain of salt, as it is unconfirmed by Nintendo so far. TiLMEN claims that the New 3DS will have its region locking removed, in contrast to the 3DS and Wii U, and will have several big, new changes concerning Nintendo Network IDs.

RUMOR!!! An Alien told me that there is a possibility, that the \”NEW #Nintendo #3DS\” won\’t have #RegionLocking & Big NNiD changes incomming

The New 3DS was just announced for release last week during a Nintendo Direct. Though the New 3DS will be released in Japan later this year and Nintendo of Europe announced a 2015 launch for the New 3DS in Europe, Nintendo of America still has yet to give a release window for the product.
