[ORIGINAL POST] Several French video game websites are reporting that Konami are set to fill the football/soccer void on the Wii U, left behind when EA decided to pull support from the fledgling console. Although not a source of confirmation, Wikipedia also list the game as releasing on the Wii U.
The decision allegedly comes after Nintendo’s strong performance, particularly overseas where the Wii U continues to outsell the Playstation 4 and Playstation 3. The rumor states that Konami plan to release Pro Evolution Soccer 2015 for the Wii U on the same day as the already announced Playstation 3,Playstation 4, Xbox 360 and Xbox One versions of the game. In Pro Evolution 2014, the ML + BAL modes will be improved, specifically transfers. The game is set to feature coaches in the game, some of which will be licensed. This will have an impact on how their teams perform. In a move set to differentiate itself from EA’s FIFA series, second divisions will also be included for the first time. Confirmed so far are English, French, Italian and Spanish second divisions.
Watch this space for a confirmation from Konami, and ready those wallets, certainly one to back!
