Pro wrestling fans haven\’t gotten much love on Nintendo systems, especially the Wii U. It seems that the WWE games have all but abandoned us, and we honestly had no hope in sight. Well, until now that is.

Pro Wrestling X has been in development for a few years now, but now the creators of the game are taking the steps needed to make the game a reality. I\’ve followed this project for years, and fans of N64 wrestling games will feel right at home with this game. The game takes it\’s influences from both WWF No Mercy and the popular Japanese series Fire Pro Wrestling (which saw GBA ports).

An already funded Kickstarter campaign with a ton of time left to go is giving the team the needed resources to bring the game to PC\’s and Mac\’s. But what about the Wii U? I asked the important question and received this response:

@ShawnLong85 I have to admit… we\’ve have gotten a TON of Wii U port requests. So much so we might have to do the math.

So what can you do to help bring this pro wrestling gem to the Wii U? Follow them on Twitter and express your interest and, if possible, make a donation to their Kickstarter. We might not have any WWE games currently, but Pro Wrestling X could help fill that void and provide a quality experience.
