Platinum Games Yusuke Hashimoto, the director behind Bayonetta 2 for the Wii U has revealed what they learned from Nintendo whilst developing the exclusive sequel. Hashimoto has also teased more top secret costumes set to appear in the remake of Bayonetta 1.

CVG: Where did the idea for the Nintendo-themed costumes come from? Are there any more we haven’t seen yet?

YH: It was Mr. Kamiya’s strong desire to put costumes into the original Bayonetta and they’re all from his favourite games of that generation. As far as costumes you haven’t seen yet… it’s a secret! Please look forward to this.

Nintendo revealed at E3, alongside the most recent playable demo of Bayonetta 2, that Platinum was also going to re-release an updated version of the original game featuring exclusive costumes based on Nintendo characters such as Link, Peach and Samus Aran. Both Bayonetta games are scheduled to launch on the Wii U and Wii U eShop worldwide this October.

Will you be picking up the Bayonetta games this October? We’d love to hear your thoughts below!
