While everyone was busy watching the North American Mario Kart Nintendo Direct, Japan was having a Nintendo Direct presentation of its very own. In fact, Japan’s Nintendo Direct presentation had a few announcements of its very own which many in the west completely missed. One of these announcements was that both Princess Peach and Yoshi Wiimote Plus controllers will be released in Japan. These controllers are in a similar style to the Mario and Luigi controllers that Nintendo released last year, and Nintendo already released the Princess Peach controller in North America.

The Princess Peach and Yoshi Wiimote Plus controllers will be released in Japan on May 29th, the same day that Mario Kart is released in the country, and will cost 3,619 yen, or about 35 dollars. The Yoshi controller has already been announced for Europe, but no North American release has been detailed as of yet.

Anyone interested in picking up these new Wiimotes, or do you already own your fair share of them? Make sure to let us know in the comments below!
