It’s been almost two weeks since Final Fantasy Explorers was first announced in Japanese magazine, Jump. Since then a few details, such as the job and battle system have emerged but nothing about a possible localization, until now. Trademarks have been discovered for both North America and Europe, indicating that Square-Enix plan to bring this new series to western audiences.

8Vc8wGolThe game has been billed as Square-Enix’s take on the Monster Hunter series. Like in recent tradition with Nintendo-based Final Fantasy spin-offs – is all about crystals! To gather crystals players will need to battle different beasts around the game world. There will be four different job techniques for players to choose from including genre stalwarts, White Mage, Black Mage, Monk & Knight. The game will feature a four player multi-player mode, but it’s not been confirmed if this will include co-operative or simply competitive modes.

No release date has yet been announced for any region, but a Japanese release is expected before the end of the year. To find out more about the game, visit the hub for the game on the right side of the page.
