Nintendo of UK has sent out a new press release today once again reminding Nintendo players of the fact that once May 20th rolls around, online play on most Nintendo DS and Wii games will be shut off. Previously, Nintendo already announced that this would affect titles like Pokemon and Mario Kart, but today the company reiterated that this internet shut-off would also affect non-multiplayer games, such as Professor Layton and Animal Crossing, which may have had downloadable content.

Beginning May 20th, users will no longer be able to download online puzzles in the Layton games, or downloadable goods from the Animal Crossing games.

Although online play and downloads will be ceased for these titles, it will still be possible to use the DSi Shop and the Wii Shop channel, as well as DS download play, even after the Wifi services are taken down.
