Yesterday, Nintendo announced that Fantasy Life will be receiving day one DLC when it launches called “Origin Isles.” A lot of Nintendo fans are beginning to feel disgruntled, however, as it was revealed that the “Origin Isles” DLC was actually included in the Japanese version of the game. In fact, although the original launch of the game in Japan did not include this content, the new Fantasy Life Link version of the game (think of it as a GOTY edition) has the content included for free. As a result, although this DLC costs extra in North America, those in Japan get the DLC included with their game.

Earlier this week Nintendo announced Mario Kart 8 DLC, which was met with very positive response due to the reasonable cost and large amount of content. Fans are much less satisfied with the day one DLC in Fantasy Life, which will be launching in North America on October 24th.
