Seems as Nintendo hasn’t completely forgotten about this feature.

Nintendo TVii may not have been very successful so far, but there are some fans of Nintendo TVii, including our own Shawn Long who wrote an article on the surprising Wii U feature. Nintendo hasn’t abandoned TVii yet though, and actually released an update for the application today. Highlights include:

  • Quicker load times across the service.
  • Easier access to your favorite sporting events, now including baseball! Now you can start predicting plays & climbing the leaderboard even faster.
  • Enhanced screen functionality for all your favorite channels, shows, movies & sports to find out what’s on.
  • Increased Tv Tag coverage to all shows on the top 70 channels.

Still no update on whether or not Nintendo TVii will ever hit Europe, but fans of the service in America should find this additions to be a welcome surprise. Do you ever use the TVii feature? Let us know in the comments below.
