Targeted at a younger audience, this televsion spot focuses on the ability for kids to take the kid-friendly portable system with them anywhere they’d like to play that unbelievable fun Nintendo game ‘one more time’ during the summer. The 30-second promotion highlights Nintendo 3Ds exclusives such as Super Mario 3D Land, Donkey Kong Country Returns 3D, Mario Kart 7, Animal Crossing: New Leaf, and Pokémon X and Pokémon Y.
Nintendo 2DS’s wedge-shaped helps to make the system more durable which is an especially important asset when being handled by children. The Nintendo 2DS system is designed specifically as an accessible entry point into the world of Nintendo hand-held video games and maintains many of the same hardware features as Nintendo 3DS, including touch-screen controls, StreetPass, online multiplayer functionality and the ability to download games.
During Nintendo’s briefing to investors last week, Mr. Iwata noted his intentions to continue to drive and maintain Nintendo 3DS sales by betting on the already released popular games on the Nintendo 3DS.
Earlier this month, Nintendo submitted an FCC filing for the approval of newer more secure model of the Nintendo 2DS to begin being distributed.
