Nintendo of America today announced a new regional tour taking place throughout June, July and August. The Play Nintendo Tour will invite all kids and kids at heart to sample the latest Nintendo 3DS games as well as the Nintendo 2DS hardware.

The tour will feature themed zones filled with iconic Nintendo items such as banana-shaped seats referencing Donkey Kong, a giant Poke’ball in Poke’mon section and Yoshi egg chairs in the Yoshi’s Island zone. Visitors will also get the chance to meet fan-favourite Nintendo characters such as Mario, Luigi, Donkey Kong and Kirby. The games set to be included on this tour include

  • Kirby Triple Deluxe
  • Yoshi’s New Island
  • Pokémon X and Pokémon Y
  • The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds
  • Super Mario 3D Land
  • Donkey Kong Country Returns 3D
  • Mario Kart 7

Visitors feeling lucky can also put their driving skills to the test in the Mario Kart racing area. By taking part in the Mario Kart 7  qualifying rounds everyone has a chance to advance and show off their moves on stage with a giant TV screen featuring the new, rapidly-selling Mario Kart 8 for Wii U.
