Some very interesting social media statistics have been released concerning E3 2014. Nintendo completely dominated most of the Twitter conversation during the days of E3. In fact, 47% of all E3 2014 tweets included a mention of something Nintendo-related. Out of the 55,000 times that the #2014 hash-tag was used, the #Nintendo hash-tag was used 30,000 times. The report also says that some of the most popular tweets during E3 were related to Nintendo. These tweets included the tease of Shigeru Miyamoto appearing during the Treehouse live stream and the tweet from @Dropkickpikachu who said: “Nintendo has just shown more playable female character’s in one game preview than the other companies have all E3 so far.”

Whereas Nintendo took 47% of the Twitter conversation, Playstation took 28% of the conversation, and Xbox took 25%; not too shabby for a company which is supposed to be “dying”.
