In case you didn’t know, Nintendo announced a surprise Nintendo direct exclusive to the Japanese market yesterday for this morning which shed more light on several recently revealed games as well as a little surprise.

During the Nintendo Direct, which we’ve embedded below for your viewing pleasure, Nintendo showed new footage and discussed details of the recently revealed Final Fantasy Explorers¬†and Dragon Quest X from Square-Enix. Nintendo also shed some new light on Forbidden Magna from Marvelous and Capcom’s Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate. The surprise announcement of the direct came in the form of a teaser trailer that a new Kenka Bancho title is heading to the 3DS. The Kenka Bancho series are generally Japan-exclusive but the previous Kenka Bancho: Badass Rumble, a beat ‘em up for the PSP did see a release in North America. The series was created by Atlus who have grown close to Nintendo over recent years thanks to strong sales of the Shin Megami Tensei series. The two are collaborating on the Wii U exclusive Shin Megami Tensei X Fire Emblem which is on track for release in 2015.
