Nintendo president Satoru Iwata announced in today\’s Nintendo Direct streaming event that the long-awaited Game Boy Advance support is finally arriving to the Wii U Virtual Console service starting April 2014 in the in North America and April 3rd, 2014 in Japan.


Those who own a Wii U will be able to purchase classics such as Metroid Fusion, Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga, and Yoshi\’s Island: Super Mario Advance 3. The service will be supported with new games from the GBA library every month.


As for Japan, the GBA Wii U Virtual Console titles include The Legend of Zelda: Minish Cap, Wario Land 4, Mario Tennis Advance, Advance Wars, Metroid Fusion, WarioWare, F-Zero, Golden Sun and more.
