In a recent interview with the Next Level Games Studio Producer, Ken Yeeloy, it was revealed that the studio would love to work on a Mario or Zelda game. The studio previously worked on Luigi’s Mansion: Dark Moon for the 3DS, Punch Out for Wii, and several other smaller games on Nintendo platforms.

“I would love to work on a Zelda or Mario title,” began Yeeloy. “Those are the pinnacles of Nintendo IP and I think it would be a lot of fun to go through the process of building one of those games. Trying to come up with new mechanics and puzzles that fit those franchises would be a huge challenge and would be extremely rewarding to see in the end product.”

Currently, Next Level Games is working on announced titles for the Wii U and 3DS. Perhaps one of these titles will be for a large Nintendo IP.
