Also the fastest selling item at the Nintendo World Store

Mario Kart 8 Limited Edition is now sold out in GAME\’s online store and has been sold in the Nintendo UK Online Store.

This edition of the game was first announced and made available for pre-order in back March and was being sold for £59.99. There\’s no telling how many copies of this edition Nintendo had shipped out but with Mario Kart 8 being one of Nintendo\’s biggest games of the year (Smash Bros. for Wii U being their second), chances are that they shipped many more copies than they did a game such as the limted edition version Wind Waker HD, which also sold out at GameStop shortly after it was announced. That being said, it\’s not to much surprise that the sequel to the game that sold over 35.5 million copies on the Wii might be looking to be one of Nintendo\’s biggest money makers all over again, or at least it better be.

Europe isn\’t the only region where the Limited Edition version of Mario Kart 8 is selling out in.

Sounds like Nintendo should have shipped out more copies. Well, there\’s always the standalone version.

Since Mario Kart 8 was fully revealed last week, along with the announcement of a Wii U hardware bundle of the game and a free game bonus promotion, it has garnered mass popularity, trending on social media sites such as Facebook.

If you\’re looking to purchase Mario Kart 8 at a place with a good deal, be sure to check out Best Buy, which are throwing a $10 gas card, or Dell, who are throwing in a $25 dollar egift card for their shop.
