The latest numbers from Media Create have been released, this time for the week of Hyrule Warriors’ launch. Hyrule Warriors took second place on the charts, right behind Yokai Watch 2, selling nearly 70,000 units. Other Nintendo games on the top ten include Yoshi’s New Island in third, Mario Kart 8 in 4th, Taiko Drum Master in 8th, the original Yokai Watch in 9th, and Senran Kagura 2 in 10th place.

On the hardware end, 3DS sales were up to 52,000 from 40,000 while Wii U sales were up about 5k to 18,000 units.

Yesterday, we reported that Wii U software sales were four times stronger than at this point last year. This information still bodes well for the prospects of the Wii U, as sales are still improving for the console year-over-year.
