When it comes to buying the right microSD card, the most important aspect to consider is the size, and thanks to a leak from someone that got the console early, we know the Switch is offering about 25GB of free space for players to use. So… how big are Nintendo Switch games digitally?

Thanks to a Japanese’s listing of the games, we know the file sizes to expect for the system:

Games That Fit On a Nintendo Switch

  • The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild 13.4 GB
  • Disgaea 5 Complete 5.9 GB
  • Puyo Puyo Tetris 1.09 GB
  • I’m Setsuna 1.40GB
  • Nobunaga’s Ambition: Creation with Power Up Kit 5GB
  • Mario Kart 8 Deluxe 7GB
  • Snipperclips 1.60GB

Games That Require a MicroSD

  • Dragon Quest Heroes I·II 32GB

While there are more games announced out there, sadly the download sizes aren’t yet known.

After around a decade playing on Sony consoles, I decided to move to the Nintendo side.

I can play most types of games if they don’t have heavy online elements, and I usually have a preference for platformers, puzzle and strategy games.

I also play casually on my PC, but I prefer to play in consoles.
