Yesterday it was revealed that Midnight City were working on a Wii U version of The Fullbright Company’s Gone Home. Nestled away on a press release issued today was a small nugget of information revealing that this isn’t the only Wii U project that they were working on. Midnight City are also working on a Wii U version of Crystal Lab’s High Strangeness, a 12-bit action adventure video game.

High Strangeness is a video game about crystal skulls, shadow people, flash light wielding teenagers, string theory, chaos theory, multiverses, and a talking cat. It is about a boy living in present day America who awakes one evening to find that his home as been invaded by Shadow Villains. He soon finds himself on a quest to discover the secrets of a mysterious item, after unwittingly being dragged into a foreign world filled with the evil and mysterious Shadow Men. Hesitant at first, our hero eventually realizes his role in a cosmic battle for peace throughout all universes. The game was original Kickstarted back in 2009 and featured a base goal of just $1,500.

The press release lists the North American release date as Q4 2014, so watch this space for a final confirmation later on in the year.
