News about Square-Enix’s Final Fantasy Explorers continues to trickle in at a consistent pace. It’s just over a month since the game was first revealed in Japanese-magazine Jump. Shortly after this the first screens and details about the games’ jobs emerged when the official website of the game launched. The game was most recently highlight during the Japan-only 3DS Third Party line-up Nintendo Direct which took place last week.

The new information confirms that players will start off as a freelancer, though able to change later on.  The freelancer ability will allow the player to create equipment with raw materials gathered by defeating enemies or summoned monsters. These creations include swords, gloves, staves, rods, axes, spears, and bells, which are all confirmed as weapons. It has now been confirmed that when online you can talk to other players using a preset chat system.

No confirmed release date for the Japanese market has been revealed or any mention of a later Westrn release. However, trademarks for the game have been filed in both North America and Europe.
