Fatal Frame was a franchise that really hit it\’s stride during the PS2/Xbox era of gaming, by offering traditional Japanese horror with gorgeous graphics and very dark themes. Aside from a release on the Wii overseas, Nintendo fans haven\’t really had a chance to experience this series fully. All of that is changing though with Zero: Nuregarasu no Miko (Zero is the name of Fatal Frame in Japan) which is coming to the Wii U in Japan on September 27th.

The main focus of Fatal Frame is that you use your camera to help combat ghosts that are constantly attacking you. The latest Fatal Frame entry has you using the Wii U Gamepad as the said camera, which should lead to a fantastic experience. The game will use a mountanious area that has the player visiting houses, lakes, and heavily wooded areas which should make for some amazing scares.

While no US release has been confirmed yet, hopefully Nintendo will bring this to other regions as Fatal Frame is a premire horror franchise. Be sure to check out the trailer below for Fatal Frame Wii U and let us know what you think of this game and if you are excited for it.
