A week ago, developer Wobbly Tooth announced the new game Battle Miner for the 3DS. Today, we received new details on the project including a price, release window, and gameplay details.

First off, Battle Miner is an open-world, procedurally generated block game in a world where giant, mutant Ants have taken over the world. The mission of the player is to rescue Survivors that are hostages to the Ants. Each time a survivor is rescued, the Survivor will grant the player a new item or teach them a new ability to craft a new item. Furthermore, while exploring the world players can mine for resources such as wood, copper, zinc and other materials to craft items such as weapons and ammunition to help them survive. As players progress, they will encounter many different types of Ants, each with their own behaviors and their own unique fighting style.

Battle Miner will also have a peaceful, creative mode where players can build their own structures and share screenshots over Miiverse.

On a technical level, the game runs at 60 frames per second, will support stereoscopic 3D, and will feature a day/night cycle.

Battle Miner is slated for release in late October in North America and Brazil with a European release a month or two later. The game will cost $9.99 / £5.99 / €7.49. when it becomes available on the 3DS eShop.
