Better late then never?

Call of Duty and Nintendo platforms are a strange mixture. The Wii versions were very fun due to motion controls, the DS ones supported online play, and the previous two Wii U ones weren’t terrible ports either. Advanced Warfare is still up in the air as to whether or not it’s coming to Wii U, but the clues are there. One thing Nintendo platform owners of these games usually miss out on is DLC of any sort, including map packs.

Freefall was added to Call of Duty Ghosts for the Wii U, and was a nice little gesture. Today however, the strangest gesture happened: Wii U owners who booted up Call of Duty Black Ops 2 got the map Nuketown 2025 which was a pre-order promotion. Considering the user base on Black Ops 2 isn’t that large currently, it’s a bit strange that this map would pop up for free today. Better late then never I suppose though right?
