Could we see the return of Tingle?! Kidding of course.

The Legend of Zelda for Wii U was one of the most breathtaking trailers at E3, and the subsequent information that we received afterward about this open world and gorgeous adventure was just the icing on the cake. The scope for this game seems to be rather large when compared with other Zelda titles, and Mr. Aonuma teased in an interview with Game Informer that we could actually see some multiplayer in the game with the Wii U GamePad.

“The two-player functionality of Hyrule Warriors is actually something that has traditionally been done in the Dynasty Warriors series, but they’ve changed because of the hardware and the second screen on your GamePad. Instead of having a splitscreen on the television, you have one-player playing on the television and one on the GamePad. When I was talking back about making Zelda more than just a single-player experience? That’s something you will see in the future, maybe next year.”

The GamePad could lead to some interesting experiences with The Legend of Zelda for Wii U, and this could be an amazing feature. Hopefully Mr. Aonuma shows us what exactly he is talking about in the near future. For now, let your speculation run wild and let us know what you think he could be referring to in the comments below!
