The Angry Video Game Nerd was one of the first YouTuber\’s who became a star that transcended being a guy behind a camera to a cultural phenomon. James Rolfe, the Angry Video Game Nerd, and Mike Matei helped set the standard for comedic video game reviews and ended up spawning a ton of similar acts, but none could quite touch the original.

Last year FreakZone Games created the officially endorsed AVGN video game: Angry Video Game Nerd Adventures on Steam. The game was a classic 2-d platformer with great shooting elements and tons of nods to episodes that James and Mike created. It was announced today by FreakZone Games that the Wii U and 3DS versions are coming soon for Nintendo fans:

Hey @wiiudaily @nintendolife @tronknotts We announced at SGC this morning that AVGN Adventures comes to Wii U very soon and 3DS afterwards!

It\’s great to see this game is finally coming to the Nintendo platform, as the original Nintendo Entertainment System helped basically mold the video series into the beast that it is today.
