@MajorbuddahAre you Ferrari_man on IGN?Sknygy: "i still want [Mario Kart] to be smash kart with other characters
Sknygy: "link, samus, olimar , kirby etc"
Sknygy: "would change it up a lot"
Acesonnall: I'm really not sure what I want. I pretty much feel this way with Smash Bros and Mario Kart. I usually just purchase whatever I'm given lol.
Acesonnall: Literally, if they added a cardboard box as a character in either one of those games, I'd still purchase the game. -
It's been a while since I've checked in here. Looks like I need to re-up my icon. How's everyone doing?
Also, That Monster Hunter demo you guys. Sooo good. Looking forward to picking it up and doing some 4 player hunting!Likes: mattavelle1, dark_heartless_riku

I see I am not the only one with computer problems...I found out about the Monster Hunter demo and F-zero.I reached for my wii U controller. Then I remembered it is off for repairs.*Insert sad face* -
Speaking of computer issues, my Dell laptop, which is creeping up on two years old, cannot be closed. If I fold the screen down, it goes blank. Then I have to fool around with it to get the picture to appear again. So it's been sitting here, open on my desk, since I moved to this new apartment.Known elsewhere as "EvilTw1n," "ET" and "maple bacon donut."

i know a number of you guys are scotch fans, but no one's brought up craft beers yet. if you're into that... this is what i was lucky enough to score a few hours ago:
sorry for the huge, blurry image. but if you're wondering; yes, it was delicious :DLikes: sknygy

I remember having that, but not what it tastes like. IPAs are not my favorite, but I'll give that Dogfish Head another try soon.Since we're on the topic of beer, this is one I fell in love instantly during my visit to San Francisco a year and a half ago, but that I haven't been able to find anywhere else:That ale was glorious, or at least I remember it being so. I want to give it another spin soon.Editor, Mod, Admin, El Sombrero.

nice! there are some great west coast beers that i'd love to get my hands on. i know you said you're not into ipa, but i'd love to get a bottle or two of pliney the elder some day. i've really got to get into one of those beer trading forums some time. we've got a lot of great and exclusive brews out here in the mid west.If you have no critics you'll likely have no success. -

I bet. I've visited my brother in Rockford, IL, a few times, and we've had quite a few local beers, but not much I can remember. We did go once to the Lakehouse Brewery tour, which wasn't particularly great but it was the only one we found open the day we went. It still was pretty good. I still have one of the wood tokens used to get beer samples inside the brewery.Likes: Majorbuddah

Oh, look, alcohol, the subject I'm least qualified to talk about, seeing as I've never had a drop of the stuff. I know, crazy... right? -

I'm such a wimp on beer; I've always hated the taste of it. I've only recently started enjoying it. A friend of mine got me to drink some Blue Moon a few weeks ago, which has the benefit of not tasting like German urine.Decided to try another wheat beer that night, Breckenridge Agave Wheat, which was decent. Sam Adams makes a cherry wheat, which I tried later, also decent. So I'm apparently good with wheat beers. Oh, and Kilkenny (an Irish cream ale). After chugging through Blue Moon, I could only sip Kilkenny.I did try some Sam Adams Octoberfest and Black Lager; not the biggest fan, but drinkable. Same with Breckenridge Vanilla Porter.Known elsewhere as "EvilTw1n," "ET" and "maple bacon donut."

Where are you regionally? If you're in the New England area (given your mentions of Sam Adams) and you seem to enjoy/tolerate Blue Moon, I'd try to get your hands on some Allagash White.

So, based on this thread over at IGN:I think I might pick up Warriors Orchi Hyper 3. Apparently there are some pop-in issues, but it's otherwise a decent hack 'n slash with some "because, Japan" ethos. Plus, apparently there's online co-op, and GS has it online for $30.Known elsewhere as "EvilTw1n," "ET" and "maple bacon donut."

^Hah!I won't be able to judge until I play it for myself, of course, but some of his complaints just seem bogus to me. For me, I really couldn't care less about "upscaled PS2 graphics" (he wouldn't make this critique at an actual upscaled PS2 game like SotC), and some frame drops are inevitable with any game that has so many enemies onscreen. And his critique on one-button mashing is really lame, IMO. You can play through Muramasa mashing one attack and nothing else. You can spam the dodge and shoot in Metroid: Other M and get through 90% of the game, no problem. Play COD online with DA and it's "go ADS, hold trigger, rinse and repeat." If a more arcade-y feel is the goal, it's usually achieved through simplicity.More worrisome is that the pop-in really is pretty hilarious, and the enemies shown there do no real fighting back (it's a hack 'n slash, so they're supposed to be fodder, but still).========================Getting back to beer for a moment...I mean......seriously?Seriously.Known elsewhere as "EvilTw1n," "ET" and "maple bacon donut."
