Famitsu recently interviewed Tsunekazu Ishihara, the President of The Pokemon Company, asking the executive several questions about next year’s new Pokemon game. Although the interview mainly focused on this year’s Pokemon title, Ishihara said that next year’s Pokemon release will have many new Pokemon. He said the game will launch in the second half of next year and will please veterans of the series that have played several Pokemon games.
Ishihara also reconfirmed that the game is a totally new game and said the game would improve “image quality.”
This year, Nintendo will be launching Pokemon: Let’s Go Eevee and Pokemon: Let’s Go Pikachu. The games will be full-priced titles on the Nintendo Switch but will lack many features in traditional Pokemon games. Next year’s Pokemon title should be a return to the norm, satisfying those that have long been fans of the franchise.
