Polygon recently conducted an interview with ARMS game director Kosuke Yabuki, who touched on everything about the game from designing and implementing characters, the lack of a single-player campaign, and more. Towards the end of the discussion, though, Super Smash Bros. was brought up to Yabuki, who had this to say regarding ARMS characters in the fighting title.
“I think the correct reaction is to say ‘I can’t answer that!’” Yabuki said. “Another thing I’d say is that Arms is so young — it’s only a year old — that maybe it’s too early to think about that. But I think it’s absolutely fantastic that there are people out there talking about Arms characters in that way.”

Last month I wrote a piece breaking down five new characters I’d like to see in the upcoming Smash for Switch. One of my choices was Spring Man, who not only would be a great representative of the ARMS brand, but could also be an incredibly unique fighter.
