The Switch hacking community has been making a lot of advancements lately. It started with breaching the system’s internals in order to get into its core, which then accelerated into homebrew and emulators. Now, one hacker group has managed to get a fully-function distribution of Linux running on the Switch.
Earlier this month, hacker group Fail0verflow posted a picture on Twitter showing Linux code execution running on the Switch. Now, the group has posted a video which shows one of the members fully using Linux on Switch, going to the point of messing around with some options on the desktop and even opening up a web browser and poking around Twitter.

This is actually kind of impressive. The question still remains: ‘What’s the purpose behind this?’ It seems that Fai0verflow is doing this simply just for fun. As to whether or not this will lead into the Switch’s native OS being cracked to run pirated software is yet to be seen. Hopefully this project will remain as a hobby.
