The Switch has been quite a big hit across the board, and it looks like that also applies to France. French publication Les Numeriques recently interviewed Philippe Lavoué, who is the General Manager of Nintendo France. Lavoué had a lot of good news to share about Nintendo’s business has been performing in the country so far, and the main highlight are the sales of the Switch.
According to Lavoué, the Switch has now become the highest-selling console of all time in the French market, beating out both the Wii and PS4. The Switch is currently sitting at 911,000 units sold as of December 31st. For comparison, the Wii made it to 703,000 units and the PS4 is currently at 650,000 units.
France isn’t an incredibly large video game market, but it’s still impressive that the Switch has done so well there in less than a year. Sales have continued to remain high in other regions like the USA, Italy and Japan.
